Wizard Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Problem Definition

Clearly define the education problem you're addressing. Use our templates for common issues like:

  • Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN): Low reading and math skills
  • Career Readiness: Lack of job market preparation

Tip: Be specific about who is affected and the scale of the problem

Step 2: Student Outcomes

Define what success looks like for students. Outcomes should be:

  • Specific and measurable
  • Focused on student learning
  • Achievable within your timeframe

Tip: Use template outcomes as starting points and customize them

Step 3: Intervention Strategy

Describe HOW you'll achieve the student outcomes. Consider:

  • Teaching methods and approaches
  • Resources and materials needed
  • Timeline and phases

Step 4: Stakeholders

Identify everyone involved across 4 system levels:

  • School Level: Teachers, principals, students
  • Cluster Level: Cluster coordinators, resource persons
  • Block Level: Block education officers, officials
  • District Level: District education officers, administrators

Tip: Select 5-10 key stakeholders for focused impact

Step 5: Practice Changes

For each stakeholder, define what they'll do differently. Practice changes should be:

  • Action-oriented (specific behaviors)
  • Observable and verifiable
  • Linked to student outcomes

Tip: Use our stakeholder-specific suggestions from Common LFA templates

Step 6: Indicators

Define how you'll measure success. Good indicators are SMART:

  • Specific: Clearly defined
  • Measurable: Quantifiable
  • Achievable: Realistic
  • Relevant: Aligned with outcomes
  • Time-bound: Has a deadline

Step 7: Review & Export

Review your complete LFA document. You can:

  • Edit any previous step
  • Export as PDF
  • Share with team members
  • Save as draft for later
